My name is Ji Kim, principal designer/owner of Orange Stripes.
Orange Stripes is a product design consultancy that helps companies to conceive and design interactive products and services.

I’m also the contributing author for the book: Effective Prototyping for Software Makers,
and active volunteer for BayCHI (San Francisco Bay area chapter for the ACM Special Interest group on Human-Computer Interaction).

I have over 10 years industry experience in interaction design, user research, and product management for consumer and enterprise software. In the past, I have worked for a well known interactive design agency, successful startups, and large corporations.

Some of my professional interests include: building online/real-world communities, industrial design, anthropology, gaming, recommendation technology, social networking, video and audio information retrieval, and Agile Development process. And, when time permits, I also enjoy giving talks at various design conferences and events.

I studied computer science and received my degree in Business Administration (with concentration on Technology Management). In addition, I have completed post-graduate and professional courses in psychology, programming, design, and management.

Outside of work, I enjoy: surfing, volunteering, learning how to make films, discovering new bands, rating restaurants, and traveling.
